Biography

Luis Molinari is one of Norways top djs within house and is known to fill dance floors
with happy dancing people to driving tunes.
Luis started spinning records as early as 1990 at the age of 13 in a local youth center
in Oslo, Norway.

At age of 16 he got a residency at a nightclub in Oslo, and an own radio program at Radio
Oslo. This was the start of Luis Molinaris dj career.
The career didn’t actually take off before 1999 after years of hard work behind the decks
at different clubs and parties.
This was the year that Luis was discovered by the Dutch promotor Werner Hilberink while
spinning regularly for Norways most famous party concept Temple Of Love alongside his
residency at the legendary Oslo club The Church.
Luis and Werner teamed up and started the club night and concept The Vinyl Frontiers which led to the big brake-through of Dj Luis Molinari. Werner tok on the management of Luis
and brought him to the top of Norwegian club-life with three mixed cd
compilation releases (My Record Bag 1, 2 and 3) on Arcade and bookings trough out all the
important clubs and events in Norway as well as his first steps elsewhere in Europe.
During these events Luis was also signed to a bigger radio station (The Voice) were he did
his dj shows on a weekly basis with great ratings.

Since the big brake-trough in 1999/2000 Luis Molinari has had the pleasure of spinning
his sets alongside big names as Darren Emerson, Tiësto, Lucian Fort, Gee More, Mac
Zimms, Marco V, Jean, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules, Eric E, Lottie, Mark Doyle and many
others. He has, and are still playing at clubs and parties in UK, The Netherlands, Ibiza, St.
Petersburg, Murmansk, Stockholm, Finland etc. for promoters as Ministry of Sound, Temple of Love, Throb, Fierce Angels among others. In
addition to the gigs he also promotes his club night Delicious around in Norway.
Delicious was in 2002 rated Best Club Night in Norway.

In 2007 Luis became the Scandinavian resident dj for Mark Doyles Fierce Angels and
has played at several F.A. parties in Norway since. In 2008 Luis played for the first time
for Fierce Angels outside Scandinavia at Es Vivé – Ibiza. In the same year Luis gained
forces with Kimito Lopez and launched the club night Frogressive to join their love of
house, tech house and more dirty progressive sound which set the agenda for 2009 together with the resurrection of the club night Delicious

2010 was a busy year for Luis with the birth of the new club night Shindig promoted by Luis and partners with dates at club Fugazi in Oslo, planning the new norwegian web radio Cue, numerous gigs, radio show for the Extrema and Sommerøya festivals, developing the dj partnership with Werner Hilberink as The Bold Blokes and last but not least the realization of Cue Agency together with partners.

As 2011 rolls on all the projects from earlier year keeps Luis alive and kicking. New this year is his own tech house show CueTech featured twice a month on Digitally Imported (di.fm) with good reviews. Luis’ radio show The Weekender is finally scheduled to be aired on Cue Radio after being a success on Pitch in 2010 and Cue Agency is now his booking representative.

Luis is always eager to push his sound forward and test the boundaries in his studio as well as in the clubs and partyes, and is looking forward to each end every gig he gets the chance to take.
